Community Engagement Officer

(30 hours over 4 days) 

The role of the Community Engagement Officer is to implement Healthwatch Shropshire’s community engagement and communications strategy as part of the wider team.  You will go out and about meeting residents of Shropshire to listen to their experiences and support them to be involved in the development and improvement of local health and social care services.   You will represent Healthwatch Shropshire at public events and stakeholder meetings.  

You need to have an outgoing personality, the ability to work with a wide range of people and be prepared to work out of the office for much of your time talking to groups, attending meetings and listening to people’s experiences.  You will also use our social media channels to engage with the people of Shropshire online, building our network and reaching different audiences so an interest in, or experience of using, digital media would be useful.  

Communication and Involvement Officer

(30 hours over 4 days) 

The role of Communication and Involvement officer is to implement Healthwatch Shropshire’s community engagement and communications strategy as part of the wider team.  You will use and grow our communication channels to encourage residents of Shropshire to increase their involvement in the development and improvement of local health and social care services.   You will represent Healthwatch Shropshire at public events and stakeholder meetings and raise awareness of the work of our organisation.  

You will need excellent communication skills and an interest in digital media.

We're looking for people to help spread the word about Healthwatch Shropshire and make people aware of who we are and what we do, so they know where they can go when they need help with their health and social care.

We're looking for someone to represent Healthwatch Shropshire and what people have been telling us at a range of forums, groups and other meetings.
