You contacted us to share your experiences of stroke services, in particular concerns about the service being moved from Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) to Princess Royal Hospital (PRH).

You contacted us to share your experiences of stroke services, in particular concerns about the service being moved from Royal Shrewsbury Hospital to Princess Royal Hospital and the impact this would have on you and your families. We wrote a letter to the Head of Programmes and Service Design at the Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group, requesting clarification of the provision for stroke services on the RSH site. The response can be read below.

Joint Health Scrutiny Committee Sends SOS to Secretary of State

The Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (JHOSC) of Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council have written to the Secretary of State (SoS) for Health and Care to address their concerns about ongoing performance issues at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust (SaTH), and to discuss the role of the whole health and care system locally to meet the challenges.
