The community pain management service provides patient assessment, patient interventions and rehabilitation. In Shropshire this service is run by Connect Health with face-to-face clinics currently held at Marysville Medical Practice in Shrewsbury. At the moment most appointments are taking place online.
They see over 1,100 new patients and over 11,000 follow up patients each year. Connect Health offers a range of services within their pain management clinics including physiotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Medication reviews with a pharmacist. Healthwatch Shropshire visited pain management clinics in 2017 - you can read our report here. We want to see if the service has changed since our visits including the effect of the pandemic on services.
Across our communities we’re keen to hear peoples experiences of the Pain Management Services to help inform our future service developments. Hearing directly from people who have used services is the best way to understand how well we’re doing, but more importantly, where we need to make improvements. The NHS and Local Care has been significantly impacted by the Covid Pandemic. We want to hear from you about a range of issues, from how you would like to best access services, how information is best delivered, how we might use digital technology and how we can make our services more joined up.
