HWS Workshop at the 2016 HWE Conference
Earlier this month our Chief Officer, Jane Randall-Smith and Carole Hall, Chair of the Board of Trustees attended the fourth Healthwatch Conference in Nottingham. Over 400 people from the Healthwatch network came together to share and learn from one another. The two day event focussed on the big national issues currently being faced in health and social care, such as Children's and Young People's Mental Health, Service Change and Sustainability and Transformation plans.
Jane Randall-Smith led a workshop on the Research Grant Programme which Healthwatch Shropshire runs. The workshop, titled 'Using research to amplify the voice of the seldom heard', was met with a very positive response from delegates and encouraged some interesting debate around different approaches to engaging with marginalised groups.
We will be calling for proposals for the 2016-17 Research Grant Fund early next month. Please check our website for more details.
