Your spotlight on local services

Research Grant

"We see the Research Grant programme as a fundamental part of our role to make sure that everyone within Shropshire realises that their voice really does count."
Carole Hall, Healthwatch Shropshire chair

The Healthwatch Shropshire Research Grant Fund is an opportunity for community and voluntary sector groups and organisations to apply for funding to undertake a piece of research into people experiences of health and social care services in Shropshire. Each year we have £12,000 to award to projects between £1,000 and £4,000.

Each year the theme of the grant and its accompanying conditions varies slightly. It is important that anyone interested in applying uses the documentation of the relevant year. Please see the successful projects 2013-14 and 2014-15 as an example of what to expect.

Anybody wishing to discuss the awards or the Research Grant fund is welcome to contact Healthwatch Shropshire for more information.

Details of past projects and their research reports are available on the pages for each year.  Final reports can be found here as they become available.

Update January 2017: We are now accepting applications for our 2016/17 Research Grant fund. To download the pack please click here
Deadline for applications is 5pm on the 13th of February 2017
